Genre: Humor, Non-Fiction, Parenting
My Review in a Nutshell:
Belly Laughs, also known as the greatest form of birth control known to man, beats What to Expect When You’re Expecting by a mile. Do you want to know the truth about pregnancy? The unfiltered, disgusting, yet gloriously hilarious truth? Then read this. But please, read it while pregnant, not before, or you may feel inclined to sew your lady bits up and ward off child bearing for all of eternity.
What’s It All About?
Simply put, Jenny McCarthy describes in great detail all of the ups and downs of her pregnancy. Hormones, cravings and bodily fluids, it’s all there.
I would not have come out of my pregnancy alive without this book. When things seemed so bleak and miserable while waddling 60 extra pounds around and feeling the need to wear Depends, McCarthy made me laugh about it! It is true what they say, it’s better to laugh than cry, McCarthy is an expert joy-bringer.
