“When Howard and I advanced this idea that Belle was a “Bookworm”, there were concerns from our colleagues that reading was too sedentary an occupation for film. It would be boring to watch Belle just sit around and read.” 

Thank goodness for Linda Woolverton! Without her, Belle wouldn’t be a bookworm, I wouldn’t have a Disney Princess obsession, Hermione wouldn’t get to experience the best library ever, and none of these cool things would currently be on the shelves!
