nanowrimo-ABOUT-

National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) is a fun, seat-of-your-pants approach to creative writing.

On November 1, participants begin working towards the goal of writing a 50,000-word novel by 11:59 PM on November 30.

Valuing enthusiasm, determination, and a deadline, NaNoWriMo is for anyone who has ever thought about writing a novel.

For support from fellow writers, check out the Facebook page: NaNoWriMo

My Thoughts?

This is my first year to participate in NaNoWriMo. Tons of authors advocate for this program, one of my favorites being Kami Garcia!

I love to write, but I have an incredibly bad habit of starting a book, getting 30,000 words in, and then switching to a new project. *face palming my self so damn hard* I’m hoping with the support of the NaNoWriMo community, I’ll finally FINISH a novel.

Even cooler, is NaNoWriMo has “Write-Ins” to kick things off. I will be going to an IHOP with a group of people I met through a NaNoWriMo Community Page, we will be there from 5am-5pm typing away… IN OUR PAJAMAS. Pancaked and pajamas, oh my!

Here are some PUBLISHED NaNoWriMo novels:

Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen

Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins

Cinder by Marissa Meyer

Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell
