SPOILER ALERT: This is book 3 in the series, if you haven’t read book 1 & 2, do NOT read this post.

I’ve been reading a WHOLE lot of BDSM/super kinky romance lately, but truly missed fantasy, so imagine my delight when TCOGB gave me both!

Sadly, once again, I felt there was far too much filler which could’ve been cut out and still have kept the story intact. At some point I started skimming.

The pacing was very different than previous Jla books, saving most of the action for the end. It felt very RIchelle Mead (which I love), but again, ditch the filler and it would’ve been even better and the bulk content appreciated a bit more.

LOTS of history/world-building/info overload that’ll answer some questions and leave you with questions- very well done although a lot to process.

Honestly, I just love love love the steaminess and the heroine. That’s why I’m here and that’s why I’m staying.
