The choice was pretty clear when brainstorming ideas for the Candace Reads rating system… Harry Potter, of course! Here’s a breakdown for the non-harry potter fanatics!
RATING 1- VOLDEMORT: WHO LIKES VOLDEMORT? NOT US.
translation: Not our kind of book.
rating 2- Dolores Umbridge: Sure, she looks friendly at first glance, but a few words in and you realize you’ve made an awful mistake.
Translation: started out okay, but in the end, no beuno.
rating 3- Lucien Malfoy: Such conflicting feelings for this boy.
translation: the book wasn’t awful, but wasn’t fantastic, either.
rating 4- Harry Potter: Swoon! May I lock you in my closet? Please?
translation: This book was amaze-balls and had only a few teensy tiny problems.
rating 5- Hermione Granger: The Holy Grail of all things amazing. Literary and otherwise.
translation: on a scale of 1-10, this book receives a 1000. It’s that good.
