My Review in a Nutshell:

Forget EVERYTHING you thought you knew about aliens! They’re no longer green and gooey, but down-right delicious! This is the type of book you fan girl over for years to come! I am 100% obsessed with this thrilling, hilarious, action packed romance.

What’s It All About?

Seventeen year old Kate has moved to good ol’ middle of nowhere West Virginia with her mom, following the death of her dad. A far cry from the beautiful beach life she was accustomed to. The grass started to seem greener when she sees a hot boy living next door, Daemon. But no such luck for poor Kate, he’s about as approachable as a porcupine, or so she thinks. Long story short- Kate is almost hit by a truck, Daemon freezes the truck with his awesomely hot alien super powers. What’s not awesomely hot? His powers left a residue on her, attracting all of the bad aliens her way. Daemon is now obligated to protect a not-so-happy Kate. Let the chemistry begin ;).

My Thoughts?

It took me approximately two minutes and three pages to fall knee deep in love with Kate. She’s down to earth, hilarious, and doesn’t take no poo from any one, especially Daemon. A LOT, and I mean A LOT of people complained that Daemon had an “abusive” vibe about him, *rolls eyes*. Kate put it best, “Beautiful face. Beautiful body. Horrible attitude. It was the holy trinity of hot boys”. Attitude does not correlate to abusive, let’s not be hypocritical about this, half of the heroine ladies out there have tudes, soooo……. EXACTLY!

Kate and Daemon are the definition of hot friction! Everything, and I mean everything, was well thought out in this series. The main characters, supporting characters, relationships, imagery, and the secret alien world are well written, developed and explained to a ‘T’. I imagine the story board took up an entire wall. I also enjoyed the mini climaxes through-out, rather than having to wait for the Big Bang, every chapter had a bang, keeping me continuously intrigued.

It was apparent once I finished Obsidian, this was only the tip of the iceberg. I’m not going to pretend I haven’t finished the series, because I have; I couldn’t stop myself in-between books to allow myself time to review. THIS SERIES IS AMAZE-BALLS, and continuously gets more wild!

My Favorite Quotes:

“I’ve always found that the most beautiful people, truly beautiful inside and out, are the ones who are quietly unaware of their effect.”

“My palms itched to have a close encounter of the bitch-slap kind with his face.”
